Blue and White sparkle lyocell tencel fibres

This sparkle fibre is lyocell, also known as tencel.  A semi-synthetic fibre, inasmuch as it's manmade, but from natural and sustainable sources, wood pulp.

This wood pulp fibre has an amazing shine and shimmer - I've included some photos with a flash so you can see how they shine.   By using lyocell, it adds sparkle to your work without compromising on sustainability! 

Many sparkley or shiny fibres, such as angelina fibre are actually plastic based, and it was essential for me to find fibres that are 100% biodedgradable, and of course, like every single product we sell, contains no plastics! 

Sold in a 10g batch, which is a handful as shown in the photos, it has a staple length of around 3-4cm.

As it is a wood pulp fibre, it does not have hooks and barbs like wool, so it takes a little more work to felt into your work, but is suitable for needle felting, wet felting and spinning too, plus any other uses that needs a shiny, shimmery, sustainable fibre!
