Black Brown and Orange Carded Art Batt 30g with 10g bunch of orange teeswater locks
Carded Art Batts and Wool Locks Bundles
This Carded Art batt is a mix of very dark brown and black tones, with various orange fibres mixed in.
This batt is very soft, as it's primarily alpaca fibre! It has some of our own carded wool added into the batt, to allow for easier felting, and it has some orange shetland tops carded into it too!
A very unique mix of fibres create this very soft and squishy batt, with a definate Halloween and Spooky feel!
Paired with a 10g bunch of orange teeswater from our own flock, our new Batts and Locks bundles also offer a financial saving when purchased a bundle, rather than separate items too.
Our carded art batts have been handmade on our drum carder. They are made from our own various types of hand dyed wools and fibres. These have all been lightly carded so there are still some natural textures that can be found in the batt - for instance, you'll notice a few curly teeswater locks in the batts, some blue faced leicester tiny curls, and some valais waves - our batts have been created to have a mix of breeds of wool sheep in, to allow for ease of felting, and some also contain some mohair and alpaca, for a touch of luxury!
Each batt is entirely unique, although the colourways as the same, so there will be variations within each colourway too, ensuring that each individual batt is truly one of a kind!
Carded Art batts are perfect for so many uses in the fibre arts world.
Are you a spinner? Our batts can be used to spin from, and you can draft directly from the batt to either add to the fibre you are using, or to use as a standalone mix to create a truly unique yarn!
Do you needle felt? Our batts have been lightly carded, which means the fibres are a little more jumbled than if the batt had been carded mutiple times - this is deliberate as jumbled fibres felt together really well! You can just pull sections of the batt to use in your felting
Are you a wet felter? Our batts can be unrooled and unfolded, and can be felted as they are, or you can pick sections to add into your wet felting
The fibres in our art batts are a combination of fibres from our local mill, with our own mohair and hand dyed wools added in to create these beautiful, lofty art batts!
