Meet Kynnyav, our Autumn inspired Gnome

Kynnyav is Kerneweck (Cornish) for Autumn. 

"The trees are starting to turn colours, and there's a little nip in the morning air.... Swallows are gathering and chittering their plans for the next few months!  This means that summer is bidding us goodbye, and Kynnyav is about to awaken from his slumbers.

Deep in the hollow of the old oak tree, he's been nestled in hibernation for 3 seasons now - he slept through winter, spring and summer, with his gnome magic keeping him nourished and comfortable.....  As soon as the first of September arrives, he will fully awaken and weave his magic on the season!

The minute dawn breaks that day, it happens.......  A stretch of a leg, a twitch of the wrist, and then... a huge yawn as Kynnyav fully awakens ready to face the season!  Getting out of his nest, he reaches for his hat, jamming it firmly on his head so that it's at the tip of his nose, and grabs his broom, ready to start sweeping.   He gathers the nuts, berries and fallen leaves to decorate his home for the season, and to create the hedgerow meals he so enjoys - elderberry and blackberry pie, cobnut and acorn biscuits, and so many more!"

Kit contents:

50g professionally scoured perendale wool (uncarded) from Hannah's Flock.

10g orange wool cloud 

10g Autumn mixed breeds locks

5g gotland or wensleydale dark undyed curly wool 

10g dark mixed species fibre  

Instruction booklet

You'll also need a felting mat and needles (not supplied in the kit)
