Exciting news from our farm! Recently, we had the incredible opportunity to host a BBC film crew and reporter, who came to capture the journey of our fibre in a segment titled "From Sheep to Chic." This collabouration was made possible thanks to the wonderful team at the Natural Fibre Company in Launceston.
When the BBC reached out to the Natural Fibre Company for this project, they immediately thought of us. Beki, from the Natural Fibre Company, kindly suggested our farm as a perfect location for filming, and I eagerly accepted the chance to showcase our beloved sheep and the wool they produce.
The short news piece highlighted our latest creation, Sustainable Stitches, a yarn that embodies our commitment to sustainability. This unique yarn is crafted from 50% lamb's wool sourced from our friend's Perendale flock and 50% reclaimed fibres from the mill, making it not only eco-friendly but also incredibly soft and versatile.
Our sheep were on their best behavior during the shoot! They responded eagerly when I called them, and they seemed to enjoy the attention from the journalist and cameraman. It was heartwarming to see them interact with the crew, showcasing the friendly nature of our flock.
You can see the broadcast of this exciting feature on BBC Iplayer - so have a watch and and join us in celebrating the beauty of sustainable farming and the journey of our wool from the farm to your home!
